Woven and printed labels are everywhere. Ideal for clothing, soft toys and accessories. They are the perfect way to show your logo or to show care instructions.
Woven labels are created using a special type of loom that interlaces threads (Warp and Weft) to create the design and text for the label. This process creates a durable, long-lasting label that can withstand washing, ironing, and other forms of wear and tear. They are typically made of a soft, flexible material, making them ideal for use on clothing and other soft goods.
There are different weave options to choose from:
Damask: Damask is the name for a reversible pattern used during the weaving process and is most noticeable when you compare the back side of a label with the front side, as the woven thread pattern on the back should mirror the pattern on the front. This type of weave creates a strong and vibrant pattern for our labels.
Satin: This is a printed woven material. This product is softest to the touch. Usually used within the inside of clothing. The design is usually black on a white silky warp faced weave background.
Taffeta: This is the most economic label available. These labels are thinner and have a more pixelated look to the designs produced. These are hard wearing labels which also dries quicker than other label productions, making them ideal for swimsuits and towels etc.
High Definition weave: This is the highest quality production for woven labels. The threads used are of a lighter denier but double the amount of warp threads, this then acheives much more detail.
End Fold - Each ends of the label are folded over to leave a neat and tidy edge. These folded ends can then be sewn onto the garment. This gives a feeling of quality to any garment it is added to.
Loop Fold - One of the most common folds and is used on beanies and t-shirt hems. The fabric is looped but not creased. This fold is very durable and popular among clothing brands
Centre Fold - A centre fold label is the most common fold, it is folded in the centre and creased. The label is easily sewn into the collar
Manhattan Fold - The Manhattan fold combines the end fold and centre fold to create a label with three folds and offers a tidy, quality and neat finish.
No Fold - A no-fold label is a piece of woven material that is flat with a laser-cut edge.
