Bespoke Military Uniform Badges

There can be significant differences between military badges depending on where and how they’ll be worn. A badge for an everyday uniform may need to be practical and clearly identifiable, while a badge intended for formal dress may require a more intricate finish. The size, level of detail, material and method of manufacture can all affect the final result.

Military Epaulettes

The design and construction of an epaulette can vary considerably. Some may have a relatively simple appearance, while others require detailed work to reproduce insignia, lettering or other elements accurately.

Depending on the intricacy of the design and the requirements of the uniform, epaulettes can be produced using different techniques, including:

Royal Crest Badges

Crest badges can form an important part of formal military uniforms and need to reproduce detailed designs effectively.

Royal Navy and Royal Air Force crests can be produced in embroidered, woven or handmade wired bullion formats, depending on the size of the badge and the requirements of the uniform.

The choice of production method can have a significant effect on the appearance of a detailed crest. Embroidery can provide a traditional fabric finish, while woven construction can be suitable for designs where fine detail and a smooth appearance are important. Tactical Recognition Flashes

Not all military identification badges need to be large or highly detailed.
