Monopoly Themed Badges for a Girlguiding Event in Coventry

On Saturday 4^th October 2025, Girlguiding Warwickshire held its second Covopoly event in Coventry. This was an interactive mobile phone game using GPS. Small teams of between 4-6 girls with leaders, or adult only teams, navigated their way around Coventry City Centre and the outlying areas to find a number of locations and, when found, they were given a challenge to complete. There were also bonus locations available if they chose to visit them. Teams had a choice of a 2 hour, 3 hour, 4 hour or 5 hour to game to choose from.

Over 500 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Trefoil Guild members and adults (ranging from 4 years old to 80+) took part in this event which was supported by The Heart of England Co-op, Coventry University and The Herbert Art Gallery – everyone was rewarded with a beautiful badge designed by Tolleys. The teams were supported by a group of over 30 marshals and administration volunteers. Despite storm Amy the day/night before and leading into the morning of the event, the weather was very kind during the event and didn’t spoil everyone’s enjoyment.
